PG&E Clean-up Site

In fall 2015, PG&E began a year-long environmental cleanup project in downtown San Rafael to remove contaminated soil, clearing the way for property redevelopment. The majority of the work will be conducted under a large, fully-enclosed tent to minimize dust and odor. This work is part of a company-wide program to address contamination from historic operations and is overseen by the California EPA, Dept. of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC) and performed in accordance with permits from the Bay Area Air Quality Management District (Air District)and City of San Rafael.
